     Welcome to Wellspring Creative!

     I've been making ceramic jewelry since 2005, and art a lot longer. I teach art in the mountains of North Carolina each summer, and love sharing ideas for ways we can express ourselves. We all have a creative spark.

      I grew up in Lincoln County, N.C., an area rich in pottery traditions since the 1700s. I started art classes with Mrs. Miller in the fourth grade, and since then, art runs like a multi-colored thread through my life.

      I started handbuilding in Montreat, N.C., then creating jewelry with small bits of clay in the art center there.

      Each pendant, earring, pin and button is handcrafted from porcelain or stoneware clay, textured, glazed and fired twice. Then I pair them with silver, semi-precious stones, colorful beads, leather and other findings for one-of-a kind art pieces just for you.
